The Los Angeles Rams open the season on the road on Monday Night Football against the new-look, Jon Gruden-led, Oakland Raiders.

The Los Angeles Rams are going to be one of the most entertaining teams to watch this season will all of the weapons the team boasts on the offensive and defensive side of the football.

The NFL schedule makers obviously know that as they put the Rams in the primetime Monday Night Football slot against the Oakland Raiders, who also enter the season with plenty of intrigue.

Oakland is entering Jon Gruden’s first season since returning to be the head coach of the Raiders after an offseason which has been questionable, to say the least. Gruden has made some interesting moves and has lost some of his best players, which has led many to doubt Gruden before his first game back as a head coach.

Regardless of what happens, it is going to be fun to see the Los Angeles Rams go to work, especially without Khalil Mack constantly pressuring Jared Goff.

We here at LA Sports Hub decided to get together and give you our final score predictions for Monday night’s second game. Spoiler alert: We all think the Rams are going to win.

Jamaal Artis: 35-10, Rams

With the trade of Khalil Mack, I expect the Rams to have an easier time on offense against the Raiders. On defense, Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh should bottle up Marshawn Lynch and harass Derek Carr.

Sarah Maninger: 27-7, Rams

Today, as the Rams open what hopes to be a very successful season, I think that they are going to beat the Raiders and start their season off on a great foot.

Jared Goff is on the verge of becoming an elite QB, and a strong first game from Goff could help this team in ways we can’t even predict yet.

Lamarr Fields: 27-17, Rams

I am big Raiders fan so I am going to have to put my fandom aside for this.

I think the Rams will win because they have too much talent. With Suh and Donald in the middle and Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib at corner, it will be hard for the Raiders offense to produce.

The Raiders have a lot of roster turnover with 30 new players and a new coaching staff that is installing new schemes and game plans. Meanwhile, the Rams are primed for the Super Bowl.

Jeremy Bezich: 30-10, Rams

The Rams, on paper, are the better team in this matchup. I am particularly excited to see the Rams defense play together. Their new additions should provide a spark and lead the Rams to victory tonight.

The Raiders inexplicably traded Mack to Chicago and that will hurt them moving forward. The Rams are too talented to not be 1-0 after tonight.

Redan Lopez: 38-13, Rams

The Rams will overwhelm and crush the Raiders. Rams Coach Sean McVay and Rams’ QB Jared Goff have too many weapons at their disposal. The Rams will score early and often. I am looking for the Rams to come out to a big lead and hold the lead.

The loss of Khalil Mack will hurt putting pressure on Goff, allowing him the time and space he needs to look for his receivers. Rams running back Todd Gurley will also have a big day on the ground, going for over 100 yards and two touchdowns.

Raiders Coach Jon Gruden will wish he had never lost Mack on a shaky Raiders’ defense.

Jason Reed: 31-13, Rams

Like everyone before me said: the Los Angeles Rams are simply too talented for the Oakland Raiders to keep up.

That should not guarantee a win as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed us with their 48-40 win over the New Orleans Saints. However, Derek Carr simply does not have the weapons to overcome the Rams’ defense and the Rams have too many weapons for the Raiders to contain.

Running Marshawn Lynch to the ground and getting a huge game out of him is the only conceivable way for the Raiders to win this game. Oakland would have to control the clock and rattle Goff early, which would lead to a low-scoring affair.

There is just no way I see the Rams scoring less than 21 points and once they get going it is going to be hard to stop. Two touchdowns from Goff, two from Gurley and a pair of field goals will be enough to overcome the Raiders.
