The 2018-2019 NBA season has not even started and Los Angeles Lakers fans are already looking forward to the possible moves the front office will make.

The NBA season is looming and every NBA fan is starting to get that familiar feeling of excitement for basketball to be back. For fans of the Los Angeles Lakers, this season has a different kind of allure to it as it is the first season that LeBron James will be donning the purple and gold in Los Angeles.

After over a year of speculation, the Lakers finally hit the proverbial NBA lottery by signing LeBron to be the face of the franchise for at least the next four years. While time certainly is not on LeBron’s side, he can still help the team be title-worthy contenders for the next four years.

However, since that window is going to slowly close, the Lakers front office is going to have to act quickly to add another star. This will likely come next offseason when the Lakers have cap space unless the team works out a deal for a superstar such as Anthony Davis.

A trade for Davis this season is far-fetched but that should not stop the Lakers from making a trade at the deadline anyway. LeBron-led teams are notorious for making additions at the break and if the Lakers can add a piece that is going to help a title push then, of course, they will make the move.

The chances of this happening will grow even more if the Warriors battle injuries and become beatable. Either way, here are three potential trade deadline targets that would help a deep playoff push for the Los Angeles Lakers.
