The Los Angeles Dodgers are in hot pursuit of winning the team’s sixth-straight National League West title while also figuring out who will make the cut.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have the best problem that a team can have: the team has too much depth. There are so many good players on the Los Angeles Dodgers that certain players may not get a fair shake of how much playing time they receive.

A lot of this is matchup based and can be confusing on the outside looking in. For example, the Dodgers home run leader, Max Muncy, practically never starts against left-handed pitching.

With a lot of southpaws being thrown the Dodgers way the last month of the season, fans have not seen Muncy a whole lot despite him thriving when he does hit the field. The same can be said for Cody Bellinger, Yasiel Puig and even Cody Bellinger.

Right now the Dodgers have the luxury of playing every single matchup to a tee as the roster is expanded to 40 players. However, that roster shrinks back down to 25 for the playoffs, which will undoubtedly leave someone out.

There are some players on the outside looking in when it comes to a roster spot that are going to need a great last week of the season in order to secure their spot. Here are those three players who need to finish strong.
