The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be NBA Title contenders for at least the next four seasons with LeBron James under contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be in a very nice position the next four seasons and hopefully beyond. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka came through on months of speculation and anticipation and signed LeBron James to a four-year contract.

To be fair, LeBron sort of fell in the Lakers’ lap as the city of Los Angeles was a good place to be for his family and for the opportunities that the city will open up outside of basketball. James already has been announced as the leading star of Space Jam 2, a project that has been rumored to take place for years.

Granted, the Lakers had to create a good situation for James to join as there is another Los Angeles team in the Clippers. Plus, the Philadelphia 76ers and Houston Rockets were also both heavily connected to James. The Lakers front office had to be active.

And so far, they have done all the right things. The team has signed LeBron and responded nicely from missing out on Paul George by agreeing to several one-year deals with veteran players.

This will provide the Lakers the depth the team needed as well as several mentors for this young core to learn from. Plus, it keeps the cap flexible, which after buying out Luol Deng, is enough to bring in another max star next summer.

This is not even close to the finished project. LeBron and Magic have some master scheme for the next four years to bring home multiple NBA Titles.

Here is what we think the Lakers will do over the next four seasons and the results that will happen. In a perfect world, someone in the Lakers brass will read this article and replicate it.
