2. One of the veteran one-year players will be traded at the deadline

The Los Angeles Lakers were able to add depth to a roster that needed it while also remaining flexible in terms of cap space next summer. Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka accomplished this feat by signing multiple veterans to one-year contracts.

Rajon Rondo, Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson and JaVale McGee all agreed to one-year deals with the Los Angeles Lakers. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope agreed to another one-year deal with LA after signing a one-year deal last season.

The Lakers cannot do much right now in moving anyone because the team has to wait until December 15 to move any of these pieces in a trade. By the deadline comes, chances are we will see at least one of these players traded.

Pictured above is Rajon Rondo but I actually think that he has the lowest chance of being traded by the Lakers. The Lakers are using him as a mentor to Lonzo Ball and his playmaking and experience off the bench will be huge for LA.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Michael Beasley should be the favorites to get traded, especially Caldwell-Pope. He may move to the bench with Josh Hart thriving and he is a relatively easy contract to trade since it is expiring.

Every team that LeBron James plays on makes midseason moves based on the fit of certain players and what the roster needs. This year will be no different and it will surprise many.
