The Los Angeles Chargers will try to go 2-2 in the first quarter of the NFL season with a game at home against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Los Angeles Chargers are set to host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4 after two consecutive road games in Buffalo and against the Rams in the Coliseum.

This game was circled as one of the premier and most entertaining games to watch in Week 4. A game that should have been a shootout now looks like an easy game to win, all because Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL against the Kansas City Chiefs.

This team is mediocre at best without Garoppolo, who was the driving factor for the team’s success at the end of last season and beginning of this season.

The 49ers can definitely still win this game, especially against the Chargers, who always seem to mismanage close games.

This game really could come down to one or two plays if the 49ers play it right. Or, the Los Angeles Chargers could make quick work of the 49ers without their star quarterback. Here is what the LA Sports Hub staff thinks.

Jamaal Artis (5-0): Chargers 27, 49ers 10

The Chargers need a win, this is the day they’re going to do it. The 49ers are without Jimmy Garoppolo and the Chargers are at home. They should be able carve up the 49ers defense.

Jeremy Bezich (4-0): Chargers 27, 49ers 10

The Chargers (1-2) limp into the game Sunday to take on San Francisco. The Chargers have more self-inflicted errors than any other team in the early going. I still think the Chargers have the most talent from top to bottom in the AFC West (one can argue in favor of Kansas City).

Luckily for the Chargers, they can get back on track against a team that is struggling. The Chargers “should” win this one right? Chargers win easily (as I’m holding my breath as I say that).

Lamarr Fields (4-1): Chargers 38, 49ers 13

The Chargers win big over the 49ers. With no Jimmy G and a suspect secondary, the Chargers passing game, led by Philip Rivers, will have a huge day.

Redan Lopez (2-0): Chargers 40, 49ers 24

The loss of QB Jimmy Garoppolo will crush the Niners chances of winning this game. C.J. Beathard is a serviceable backup, but won’t be good enough against a Chargers defense that has underperformed thus far.

Philip Rivers will have a field day with his trio of receivers, going for over 350 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jason Reed (3-2) Chargers 27, 49ers 13

This feels like a game that the Chargers jump out to a quick two possession lead and coast the rest of the ball game. We saw a similar game against the Buffalo Bills and will see almost the exact same game against the 49ers.

I expect the Chargers to be leading 20-6 by halftime with both sides scoring one more touchdown in the second half.

Next. There is nothing to panic about after 1-2 start. dark

Then again, I am pretty bad at this (evident by my record) as I always try and go against the grain with the rest of the staff. This time, though, I have to agree.
