The Los Angeles Dodgers will win the NL Pennant — here’s why
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the postseason for the sixth consecutive season and have all the makings of another National League Pennant.
For the sixth consecutive year, the Los Angeles Dodgers are going to take part in October baseball, extending the team’s MLB-leading streak. With six straight postseason’s under the team’s belt, the Los Angeles Dodgers now own the third-longest postseason streak in MLB history.
The only teams better than the Los Angeles Dodgers are the 1995-2007 New York Yankees, who made 13 straight postseasons and the 1991-2005 Atlanta Braves, who made 14 straight postseasons (1994 was the strike year).
Out of all six appearances, this one feels the most unique as the Los Angeles Dodgers are coming off of a heartbreaking loss in the 2017 World Series to the Houston Astros. After dominating the National League in the 2017 postseason, the Dodgers played the team’s worst baseball and still took the Astros to seven games.
For the last year, every Dodger fan has been wondering “what if?” about the smallest moments of that series. This year is all about redemption and making it to the NLDS or NLCS does not mean much for LA fans.
Los Angeles fans want another World Series trip and this time, we want to see the Dodgers win it all.
Luckily, the path to getting to the World Series is not as hard as it may seem for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dodgers will repeat as National League Champions in convincing fashion. Here is why.
