It has been thirty years since the Los Angeles Dodgers were crowned World Series Champions. In that time have come some heartbreaking moments.
For thirty years, the Los Angeles Dodgers have watched other teams in Major League Baseball record the last out of the season to win the World Series. Never have the Dodgers recorded the out.
Last year in a magical year which saw them win 104 games and dominate the National League playoffs, the Dodgers got to see the final out from their home dugout. Cruelly, they watched the Houston Astros celebrate a game seven win in the World Series.
It was yet another setback in the Los Angeles Dodgers’ effort to finally win the elusive franchise’s seventh World Series title.
Like a death by one thousand cuts, the Dodgers have had some heart sinking moments that seemed to have ended one season or the next. Whether it was in the regular season or in the playoffs, there are moments that define 30 years of losing.
Embedded in these moments are smaller cracks; the moment before the moment that like raindrops create moisture on the roof of the house, the foundation cracks and then next thing you know you have flooded attic.
