LeBron James is entering his age 34 season and his first with the Los Angeles Lakers and should win his fifth Most Valuable Player award.

LeBron James is entering the newest chapter in his historic NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. After two split appearances with the Cleveland Cavaliers and four straight NBA Championships with the Miami Heat, LeBron heads to the City of Angels in what should be the last chapter of his career.

James likely can still play another six or seven years if he truly wanted and will be at the top of the league for the next three to four. While his window as being the best player on the planet may be shrinking with age, he will still be an elite NBA player for years to come.

Realistically, the 2018-2019 NBA season will likely be the last in which LeBron is the clear-cut choice to be the best player in the world. Other stars are hitting their primes and young stars are still up incoming. And as we have seen with all professional athletes, father time is undefeated.

In what might be the last year atop the thone and in his first year in LA, LeBron is going to continue to build on what was an insane 2017-2018 season.

Some argue that James should have won the MVP award for his efforts last season but ultimately lost out on the award to James Harden. This season will be different, though and James will bring in his fifth MVP award.

Here is why we think LeBron is a shoo-in before the season even starts.
