Goaltending

  • Goaltenders (2) on Training Camp Roster: John Gibson, Ryan Miller
  • Goaltenders to make the roster: John Gibson, Ryan Miller

Justification: The Ducks goaltending situation has not changed since last year. John Gibson remains the Ducks number one goaltender while 38-year old Ryan Miller will remain the backup.

Gibson is one of the best, young goaltenders in the league. He played in 60 games last season, sporting a .926 save percentage and a 31-18-7 record last season. The only thing keeping Gibson from super stardom will be staying healthy. If Gibson does get injured, Miller is a serviceable second option to provide quality goaltending.
