The Los Angeles Rams have cruised into Week 5 a perfect 4-0 and will make the annual trip up north to CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

For practically the entire decade, the Seattle Seahawks were the dominant team in the NFC West, at least when it came in comparison to the Los Angeles Rams. The Seahawks won four division titles from 2010 to 2016 and made the postseason every year in that frame outside of 2011.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams (formerly St. Louis) were consistently at the bottom of the division. All the Rams had were memories of the postseason, something that had alluded the team since 2004.

The division has since flipped on its head with the Rams being the most dominant team in the NFC West (and the NFL) while the Seahawks are a shell of their former selves. While Seattle is far away from the lowest point the Rams were at, they are trending downwards.

To be fair, while the Seahawks were dominant and the Rams were not, the two teams also played close games. In that same timeframe, the Seahawks were 8-6 against the Rams.

Thus, even though the roles have switched, we can still expect a close game, especially in Seattle with the 12th Man. In anticipation for the game, here are our staff predictions.

Jeremy Bezich (5-0): 31-17, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams are the best team in the NFL so far this season. Last week, the Rams had a statement win against Minnesota. Seattle is a shell of its former self. The Rams will put up another 30+ point game to go 5-0.

Lamarr Fields (5-1): 31-14, Los Angeles Rams

TheRamss defensive line will dominate the Seahawks offensive line. Gurley and Goff will feast on Seattle’s defense without Earl Thomas.

Hil Lopez (0-0): 31-17, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams take on the Seattle Seahawks at Century Link Field after winning an offensive battle 38-31 on Thursday night versus the Vikings. Jared Goff went off throwing for over 400+ yards and a career-high 5 touchdowns.

He also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown to each of his three standout wide receivers: Brandin Cooks, Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp. He faces a Seattle team that just lost star safety Earl Thomas to a broken leg for the rest of the season.

Seattle’s defense has been average for the most part, but they still boast one of the best linebackers in the game Bobby Wagner.

Unfortunately, they do not have the firepower that the Rams do offensively. With Russell Wilson running for his life due to offensive line struggles, I see the Rams winning this game handily by a score of 31-17

Redan Lopez (3-0): 35-20, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams will squash the Seahawks. The loss of Earl Thomas will make a Seahawks defense even worse. The Legion of Boom is officially dead.

Jared Goff will have a field day & Todd Gurley will have an excellent game on the ground. The Seahawks do not have the firepower to compete, leaving them in peril.

Russell Wilson will run for his life.

Jason Reed (4-2): 24-10, Los Angeles Rams

I have to go with the rest of the staff on this one and go with the Los Angeles Rams. As you can see, I have gone away from the normal twice this year and have the worst record. I picked the Chargers and Vikings to beat the Rams.

Where I disagree is the with the high-scoring nature of the predictions. I think this is a textbook grind out game where the Rams do enough to win easily but don’t have this offensive onslaught.

It is hard to score against the Seahawks in Seattle, even with this shoddy defense. The Rams’ defense will dominate and the offense will find the end zone three times and kick one field goal.

Twenty-four points are certainly nothing to scoff at but it is a bit low for the Los Angeles Rams’ standards. Still, that will be enough to win handily.
