The Los Angeles Lakers revamped the team in the offseason with a slew of moves. However, that will not stop LA from making moves during the season.

The Los Angeles Lakers were the busiest team during the 2018 NBA offseason and will be the NBA’s most improved team as a result.

The Lakers added the likes of Rajon Rondo, JaVale McGee, Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson and re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. All of these additions were for one season and make the Lakers significantly better than last year.

Oh, yeah, and there is this new guy, LeBron James, who signed a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers.

With LeBron taking over the LA throne, the Los Angeles Lakers have gone from a lottery team, eighth-seed hopeful into a team that could make it as far as the Western Conference Finals. Heck, if the Lakers get some luck, the team could somehow find its way into the NBA Finals.

The emphasis for the Lakers is not entirely on this season, though. The front office did a great job of remaining flexible for next summer and have enough cap space to bring in a second superstar. At that point, the Lakers will be all in on winning a title.

However, the Lakers front office is not going to wait until the summer of 2019 to make any additions to the team. In fact, the Lakers are likely going to make a move at the trade deadline during the 2018-2019 season — here’s why.
