Lakers Rumors: Why LA is the best rumored destination for Anthony Davis

The problem with the New York Knicks: Ownership
The New York Knicks could give Anthony Davis everything he has ever wanted out of an NBA team. With Kristaps Porzingis and the ability to also bring in someone like Jimmy Butler, the Knicks could create a big three that would make them the favorites to win the Eastern Conference.
Not only could the Knicks succeed, but the team presents Davis a market that only the Los Angeles Lakers can replicate. New York is the biggest market in the United States and Davis could become the face of New York basketball.
This would help grow his image and allow him to turn into the true superstar that he is. If Davis wants to be the face of the NBA, the Knicks would help that.
However, that is all the best-case scenario for Davis in New York. And as we have seen time and time again with the New York Knicks, the team is simply run in a poor manner and there will be some underlying issues that prevent all of this from happening.
The Knicks have mishandled stars like Carmelo Anthony in the past and have time and time again made questionable decisions that limit the team’s success. What other sport has such a massive market team like the New York Knicks only make the playoffs five times since 2000?
The New York Mets jump to mind, but the Mets are also New York’s B-team and have still made a World Series this decade. Even the New York Jets have more playoff appearances since 2000 than the Knicks.
The NBA, along with the NHL, has the most playoff teams of the four major U.S. sports. Over half of the league makes the playoffs every single year.
There is a reason why the Knicks have only made the playoffs five times in 18 seasons despite having a significant market advantage: the ownership stinks.
