With LeBron James leading the way, the Los Angeles Lakers are naturally NBA Title contenders. However, winning the title must come with some help this year.

Whether you love them or you hate them, the Los Angeles Lakers are going to be very fun to watch this season. Adding LeBron James to a young core that plays with an unmatched tempo and pace is a recipe for fun basketball, win or lose.

The Lakers are still going to be doing a whole lot of winning as well. Any LeBron James-led team is going to win games and is practically a lock for the NBA Playoffs. LeBron not making the postseason is like the sun not rising tomorrow morning.

Adding LeBron has also made the Lakers NBA Title contenders, as well. While the obvious favorites to win are still the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers are up there with other contenders that could potentially dethrone the Warriors.

The gap between the Lakers and teams such as the Rockets or Thunder is small enough where LeBron’s experience could lead the team over either team in a seven-game series. And while the East has its own monsters in the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors, both teams are beatable.

Quite frankly, going through the Golden State Warriors is the path to winning a title; a path that not many think the Lakers can accomplish.

However, they can accomplish the feat, something we stressed earlier in the week. Now, having established what makes the team credible, we have to establish what needs to go the Lakers way in order for the team to shock the world.
