The Los Angeles Lakers are going to be very fun to watch this season and if we have it our way, these seven things will happen during the 2018-2019 season.

It has been quite some time since we have been this excited for the Los Angeles Lakers season. After five long years of rebuilding and watching Kobe Bryant retire, the Lakers finally have a contending team headlined by LeBron James and the young core.

The Lakers now have the biggest spotlight in the league and are going to be under a fine microscope. What the national audience will see is an up-tempo team that is going to be extremely fun to watch with James.

With the Lakers’ season underway, we can’t help but get excited and make our own wish list as if we are writing to the NBA’s Santa Clause. Here are the six things on our wish list that we would love to see this season, aside from the obvious (NBA Finals).

1. Brandon Ingram drops 40

Brandon Ingram looks locked and loaded to develop into the Lakers second star and a true star at that in the NBA. In fact, based on his progression over two years, it is not too far-fetched to think that Ingram could even make the All-NBA Third Team is he plays up to what he is capable of.

Ingram is going to flirt with 20 points per game as his average and will have some big games as a result. We have already seen Ingram get it going in the preseason. He scored 18 points in the third quarter against the Golden State Warriors. When he is hot, he is hot.

So while it obviously will not be a common thing, there are going to be some games where Ingram hits the 30-point mark. I think we will see that four or five times throughout the year with the big target number being 40.

Ingram’s career high is 32 points in a game against the Warriors last season. He can definitely make that eight-point jump this year.
