The Los Angeles Lakers look to avoid a 0-3 start to the season in LeBron James’ first game as a Laker against head coach Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs.

The Los Angeles Lakers have not started the 2018-2019 season as many fans would have wanted with all the speculation leading into the year. Los Angeles has dropped both of its first two games against the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets, with controversy as well.

In the LeBron’s home opener against the Rockets, there was the brawl between Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram that got all three men suspended. Ingram is suspended for four games, Rondo three games and Chris Paul two games.

A 0-2 start is by no means anything to panic about and a 0-3 start isn’t either. However, in the Lakers’ first game against the Spurs with LeBron James, the team is undoubtedly going to come out firing to prove that they can indeed beat a fellow playoff team.

And while there should not be any brawls in this contest, or at least we hope, there are still going to be some things to keep a keen eye on as you watch this game.

These things will decide the game and will determine whether or not the Lakers can get in the win column for the first time. Here are our three things to watch for in the Los Angeles Lakers-San Antonio Spurs matchup.
