The Los Angeles Chargers enter the team’s bye week after defeating the Tennessee Titans, in London, with a 5-2 record.

The Los Angeles Chargers are doing something the team never seemingly does: getting off to a hot start. Typically, even in years in which the Chargers make the playoffs, the team has to overcome a slow start and rally late in the season to secure a playoff spot.

That is not the case this year, although it did appear that it might be after the team started with a 1-2 record. Since then, the Chargers have won four games in a row and enter the bye week with a 5-2 record. Los Angeles is one of five teams heading into week eight with five wins.

While it is not guaranteed, as long as the Chargers continue to play as they have thus far the playoffs should not be a problem. The team’s schedule is not terribly difficult this year and the bye week being smack dab in the middle of the season is helpful for the team’s recovery.

Charger fans have to be riding an emotional high as we are halfway through the season. While it has not been entirely positive (we will get to that in a different article), there are more positive takeaways heading into the bye than negative.

Let’s get into those positive takeaways.
