The Los Angeles Lakers are not off to the start that many expected and have some noticeable holes to fill as time goes on.

The Los Angeles Lakers started the 2018-2019 season with a 0-3 record, something not many people expected with LeBron James joining the team. To be fair, all three games were against playoff-caliber teams and with a few plays going the Lakers way, all three results could have been different.

Thus, it is absolutely absurd to think that this is going to be a season-long trend for the Lakers. This is a team that is still growing on each other and is going to take time to get into full stride. Once the Lakers are in full stride, the team can do some damage.

What the Lakers are good as it going to help them a ton; they push the pace, score a lot of points and drive to the basket a ton. Sooner or later the team is going to get the foul calls it deserves and there is only going to be more points on the board.

What the Lakers struggle at, three-point shooting, interior defending and closing out games, could hurt the team long-term. These are areas that need to be fixed in some way throughout the season, whether it is organically or externally.

LeBron James teams often make moves at the NBA Trade Deadline to make up for any deficiencies in the roster and I would expect the Lakers to do the same this year. Here are some trade targets that you should keep an eye out for that would help the Lakers where they need it most.
