The Los Angeles Lakers finally have a one in the win column after dropping the first three games of the season; LA defeated the Phoenix Suns, 131-113.

It took four games but the Los Angeles Lakers are finally in the win column in the 2018-2019 NBA season. It was obviously bound to happen but the team’s first win did come a bit later than some may have expected.

To be fair, the Lakers came up against three playoff-caliber teams in the first three games and the results could have been drastically different with a few minor tweaks. On Wednesday night, the Lakers got a bit of a break from the tough competition in the Phoenix Suns.

This game was never really in question for the Lakers. Phoenix’ last lead came with a minute and 11 seconds left in the first quarter and the team was never able to extend the lead past six points. Meanwhile, at one point, the Lakers had as high as a 26-point lead.

The Lakers-Suns matchup is not going to make many headlines but it did serve as a nice confidence boost for a young Lakers team. More importantly, it also provided us with some insight into the team.

Here are three things we learned here at LA Sports Hub after watching the Los Angeles Lakers defeat the Phoenix Suns.
