2. New York Mets

Good thing there is another professional baseball team in New York that Manny Machado can play for!

Before the Los Angeles Dodgers traded for Machado there were a ton of reports that indicated that the Dodgers would not be a good fit. From Machado possibly seeing time at third base for a then-injured Justin Turner to that fact that he loves the East Coast, LA did not seem to be a fit.

One thing is for certain and that is that Machado seemed to love the massive market and bright lights of LA, although it may have hurt him in the postseason. If Machado truly wants to go to New York, and the Yankees are not interesting, he could turn his attention towards the New York Mets.

Machado is the perfect piece for the New York Mets both literally and figuratively. In a figurative sense, Machado would essentially be a Yankees reject at this point and a superstar that the Mets could pay a lot of money to.

Not only that, but he would be the face of the Mets’ offense and would be a much-needed offensive addition to help the pitching duo of Noah Syndergaard and Jacob DeGrom. The Mets are only a few pieces away from being legitimate contenders, a superstar that can hit third is definitely one of the needs.

Machado might not get to wear Yankee pinstripes but he would get to go to the biggest city in America while also staying somewhat under the radar on the Mets. It is the best of both worlds!
