1. Seattle Mariners

The Seattle Mariners are the perfect team to try and put together a trade package for Joc Pederson. Seattle has a few notable players hitting the free agent market, with the most notable being designated hitter, Nelson Cruz.

Of course, Cruz could always return to the team, which seemingly would negate the need for Pederson. However, the Mariners could still use a power-hitting left-handed bat in the lineup and Pederson could be a relatively cheap piece to chase.

The most likely trade package for these two would have to be Pederson and Matt Kemp for some type of reliever. If the Dodgers do plan on chasing Harper the team is going to have to free up some space under the luxury tax and getting Kemp’s contract off the books would be huge.

The Mariners would get two good bats to put into the lineup and a potential DH in Kemp to replace Cruz if he does leave. Sure, the Mariners would have to pay Kemp a lot of money this season, but having it be an expiring contract makes it a lot easier to take on.

There are other possible roads that the two sides could go down but at the end of the day, Pederson is a nice fit in Seattle.
