1. Pressure Patrick Mahomes and complete the sack

When facing an elite quarterback like Patrick Mahomes the easy answer to seem like you know what you are talking about is to demand your team to pressure the quarterback. Even the best quarterbacks in the world cannot throw touchdown passes when they are sitting on their butts and Mahomes is no different.

However, pressuring Mahomes will have a huge difference in this game and could be the deciding factor in whether or not the Rams get the crucial stop or two that will win them the game. And while the pass-rush has not been as good as advertised this season, the Rams still have one of the most terrifying defensive lines in football.

Mahomes is a different quarterback when he is under pressure. According to Pro Football Focus, Mahomes has the fourth-lowest completion percentage when he is under pressure (minimum 100 dropbacks).

However, despite having the sixth-most dropbacks under pressure in the NFL this season, Mahomes has only been sacked while under pressure 17 times. That makes him the starting quarterback with the fifth-lowest sack rate in football.

Teams are getting pressure on Mahomes but because of his ability to elude the pocket and his quick release, are not getting to him. With all of the playmakers up front, the Rams need to come up with three or four big-time sacks on Mahomes.
