The Los Angeles Rams will travel to Detroit to take on the Lions with their destiny in their own hands for home-field advantage in the NFC.

The Los Angeles Rams may not have had a game on Thursday night but it was still a great night for Rams’ fans nonetheless. The New Orleans Saints were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys and now move to 10-2 on the season.

This puts them one game behind the Los Angeles Rams when it comes to home-field advantage in the NFC. This is immensely huge for the Rams, who need to finish with a better record because of the Saints’ tiebreaker win over them.

Realistically, there is only one more tough game against a playoff foe in the Chicago Bears in Week 14. While anything can happen on any given Sunday, the Rams will have very good odds of winning all of the other games on the schedule.

It all starts with the team’s game against the Detroit Lions this week. If the Rams lose this, all of this goes out the window. Here are our staff predictions for the Lions-Rams matchup.

Jamaal Artis (14-3) 24-21, Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have a chance to not only clinch the NFC West but regain control of the top seed in the conference. I still expect a tough road win against the floundering Detroit Lions after a long lay off thanks to the bye.

Lamarr Fields (13-6): 31-13, Los Angeles Rams

The Rams will start slow in this game but will pick up the pace as the game goes on due to rust from the bye week.

I see Todd Gurley having a big day running and catching to lead the Rams offense. I think the Rams defense will put together their best defense of game of the season, forcing Matthew Stafford into multiple interceptions.

Redan Lopez (13-4): 38-17, Los Angeles Rams

Even though the Rams will be on the road, they will find a way to show just how explosive and lethal they are. Running vs. k Todd Gurley should get back on track against a weak Lions’ defense.

Matthew Stafford has played poorly and does not have the run support nor the necessary playmakers on defense to stay competitive. This game will be a blowout.

Jason Reed (17-3): 41-10, Los Angeles Rams

This is going to be a creaming if I have ever seen one. While the Rams are coming off a bye and this is the perfect trap game, this team is going to completely outclass the Lions on Sunday.

Aqib Talib is returning to a defense that has struggled without him and his impact is going to be great against a Lions receiving corps that is depleted. Mix that in with an indoor environment for the Rams to work with and the team is going to score plenty of points.

Next. Rams have easiest road to home-field advantage. dark

You can already put the W in the win column for the Rams. I have not been more sure about an NFL game this season.
