2. Dylan Floro

I guarantee when you read elite arm one of the last names that came to your mind was Dylan Floro. That is completely understandable, as well, as Floro just made a name for himself last season and still does not enter 2019 with high expectations.

However, if you take a deeper dive into Floro’s numbers and how good he really was in 2018, it is evident that he has the stuff to be an elite bullpen arm. Dave Roberts and Rick Honeycutt will begin to learn that as the season goes along and Floro will eventually earn the bridge spot to Kenley Jansen alongside Pedro Baez.

Floro’s 2.25 2018 ERA is impressive just by itself. It is even more impressive when you look at how Floro was getting hitters out.

Floro made 29 appearances with the Dodgers and accounted for just a 1.63 ERA in his time with Los Angeles. Over the course of the season, Floro proved to be a reliable arm with runners on base.

He had the 13th-best stranded rate of relievers with 60 innings pitched, stranding runners 83.3 percent of the time. That was likely due to Floro’s ability to keep the ball in the park in an age where home runs are so prominent. Of pitchers with the same requirements, Floro’s 0.42 HR/9 was the eighth-best in the league.
