The Los Angeles Dodgers have entered front and center into the Bryce Harper sweepstakes and could offer Harper the massive contract that he wants.

There is not a team in the MLB that would turn down the chance of having Bryce Harpers play for them. Obviously, signing Harper is a dream that not every MLB team can realize as some do not have the funds and others do not have the space for Harper.

One of the teams that are seemingly in on these Bryce Harper dreams is the Los Angeles Dodgers. We all knew that the Dodgers had every reason to be interested in Harper and it seems that the team itself is interested as well.

Yahoo Sports initially reported that Magic Johnson headlined a Dodgers team in Las Vegas in a meeting with Harper. Johnson soon came out to refute those claims, however, the speculation did not stop there.

Johnson never denied that the Dodgers had a meeting with Harper, he simply said that he did not fly to Las Vegas to meet him. Plus, some investigation by Reddit user “Doc-S” revealed that Johnson’s registered private plane is set to fly from Van Nuys into Las Vegas on Wednesday morning.

While we should take that with a grain of salt, that is some deep-dive investigation and it does indicate that the Dodgers and Johnson are indeed all-in on luring in Harper. Magic Johnson is a busy man, as he is the President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. I am sure he is not flying to Las Vegas without good reason.

The biggest hurdle to get over with Harper is the massive 10+ year, $400 million+ contract that he will likely sign. Here is why Harper is worth that massive payday.
