2. Baltimore Ravens

Man, the Baltimore Ravens scare me. If we are being completely honest here, there is totally a sense of recency bias because the Ravens just had their way with the Chargers and prevented LA from taking over as the number one seed in the AFC.

If the Chargers would have won that game, there was a pretty good chance that the team would not have to see the Ravens in the playoffs, unless they made the playoffs as a sixth seed and won in the Wild Card Round.

However, if the Ravens defeat the Cleveland Browns in Week 18, the Texans win and the Chiefs defeat the Oakland Raiders then the matchup will be set: the fourth-seeded Baltimore Ravens.

There is a path for the Ravens to be the three seed, thus allowing the Chargers to avoid danger in the first round.

If Baltimore wins and the Texans lose then the winner of Colts-Titans will be the fourth seed while the Ravens would slide into the third seed. This is probably the best route for the Chargers, as they wouldn’t have to play the Ravens unless it’s in the AFC Championship.
