1. Kansas City Chiefs

The Baltimore Ravens were originally the number one team on this list but the nod has to go the Kansas City Chiefs. Even though the Chiefs have lost two in a row and haven’t looked the same without Kareem Hunt, they are dangerous.

Heck, there are plenty of reasons to not fear the Chiefs. Andy Reid doesn’t have the best track record in the playoffs and especially in clock management, something that will undoubtedly hurt the team.

The Chargers have already proven that they can beat the Chiefs and did so with a 14-point deficit on the road late in the fourth quarter.

And just because the Chiefs are the number one team on this list does not mean that the team is unbeatable. However, of all the teams, they are still the last anyone should want to play.

They have a freakish rookie quarterback in Patrick Mahomes and a surplus of weapons. The defense may struggle but will drastically benefit from the extremely loud Arrowhead Stadium crowd. If the Chiefs are the first seed, well, good luck.

Next. Why the Chargers are the favorites in the AFC. dark

The Los Angeles Chargers can still beat any of the teams on this list and have a pretty good shot of representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. There’s just a much easier path if the Chargers play certain teams.
