The Los Angeles Dodgers are always involved in a ton of speculation and always seem to pull off the move that nobody saw coming.

Every offseason there is a myriad of reports and rumors around the Los Angeles Dodgers and what the team is gearing up to do for the next season. Most of the time, the Dodgers’ biggest moves are reserved for the trade deadline when the team can pick up rental pieces for cheaper.

This winter seems different, though. After getting two straight big-name trade deadline pick-ups (Yu Darvish and Manny Machado) and falling flat in the World Series, the front office is likely inclined to do something different.

That starts with this offseason and creating a new outlook for a team that has been so close to winning it all but cannot get over the hump.

The front office added fuel to this fire when the team traded Yasiel Puig, Alex Wood, Matt Kemp and Kyle Farmer to the Cincinnati Reds. Surely the team would not make a move like that to free up money unless there was a follow-up, right?

The three biggest names tied to the Los Angeles Dodgers are Bryce Harper, Corey Kluber and J.T. Realmuto, with other names trickled in as well.

Knowing the Dodgers, the team will manage to make a move that none of us saw coming. Here are three unexpected potential trade targets that wouldn’t be all that shocking to see donning the Dodger blue next season.
