The Los Angeles Chargers have their hands full in the Divisional Round against the two-time defending AFC Champions, the New England Patriots.

The New England Patriots current dynasty is one of the best not only in football history but is one of the best in American sports history. For just under 20 years, the Patriots have consistently been the cream of the crop in the NFL and given Tom Brady and Bill Belichick five Super Bowl rings to show for it.

The Patriots have been so consistent and dominant that the team has not lost in the Divisional Round or sooner since 2011. Since the 2001 season, there have been just five AFC Championship games without the New England Patriots.

The Los Angeles Chargers defeating the Patriots in the Divisional Round would be historic and would break the Patriots’ current streak. While this is usually an extremely daunting task, this Patriots team is not the same Patriots team of old.

In fact, this Patriots team matches up perfectly for the Los Angeles Chargers, who just got done defeating their worst possible matchup in the Baltimore Ravens. Although the Chargers are still betting underdogs in this game, they have a pretty good shot of winning this game.

Although the Chargers might have more talent from top to bottom, the Patriots still demand respect. After all, the Chargers have not beaten the Patriots since 2008 and fell to New England in the 2006 and 2007 playoffs.

The Los Angeles Chargers did a great job in game planning against the Baltimore Ravens and did some of the things we mentioned prior to the game. Here is our three-step plan to defeating the New England Patriots.
