2. Joey Bosa

The Los Angeles Chargers essentially out-Ravened the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card Round. Not only did the Chargers’ defense hold the Ravens to virtually nothing until the fourth quarter but the team also ran the ball more frequently and better than the Ravens did.

The biggest standout on defense for the Chargers was Melvin Ingram, who recorded seven tackles, two sacks, forced a fumble and recovered the game-winning fumble. Ingram was the MVP of the Chargers win and is going to be circled ten times over in the Patriots gameplan.

Expect Ingram to once again have an impact on this game, although it might not be as a big of an impact as last week. That is because this go around it will be Joey Bosa that collapses the pocket and forces Tom Brady to either throw the ball away or get a face full of grass.

Bosa played well against the Ravens as well but often found himself getting to Lamar Jackson first before Jackson would scramble out of the pocket. The reason for Ingram’s success was the team’s usage of him both outside and inside and his advantage in speed over Bosa.

Brady is not someone that is going to evade the pocket a ton, which plays perfectly into Bosa’s wheelhouse. While right tackle Marcus Cannon is above average, Joey Bosa is still going to have his way in this game and is going to be the difference on the defensive line for the Chargers.
