1. Josh Harrison

Josh Harrison is one of those signings that you would hear no previous speculation about before the move but after the move would make perfect sense. In a way, it would be exactly like the Russell Martin trade, where we are all left asking ourselves how we didn’t see it coming.

Harrison is not a former Dodger like Martin but does have a valuable trait that the Los Angeles Dodgers front office absolutely loves: he is versatile and can play all over the field.

The two-time all-star is traditionally an infielder and can play a decent third and second base. Not only that, Harrison’s quickness and glove can put him anywhere in the outfield and he can more than hold his own.

Adding another versatile player like Harrison would be perfect to go alongside Chris Taylor and Enrique Hernandez. That way, even if the Dodgers have two of the three in the starting lineup, there will always be an option to go to off the bench in double switches and pinch hit opportunities.

Harrison is also right-handed, which helps the Dodgers’ cause in hitting southpaws. While Harrison was not great against southpaws last season, his career batting average against lefties if still .279 to go along with a .763 OPS.

He brings speed to a lineup that desperately lacks it and can be a nice addition to the Dodgers’ lineup against left-handed pitching.
