While one Los Angeles Football team is in the Super Bowl it is time for the Los Angeles Chargers to start preparing for the long offseason ahead.

Two weeks ago and the idea of a Los Angeles Super Bowl was a fun and realistic one. The Los Angeles Rams held up their end of the bargain and defeated the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship. However, they will be playing the team that defeated the Los Angeles Chargers in the Divisional Round, the New England Patriots.

For some LA fans, this is a long-time coming, for other LA fans (in particular, Chargers fans) this is going to be yet another long offseason full of what-ifs.

This year really seemed to be different for the Chargers and it was. The team was winning games that it usually lost and arguably had the deepest roster in the entire AFC. However, the coaching staff was simply outmatched in New England and the team’s woeful offensive line gave opposing defenses an easy gameplan.

However, this was not the Chargers last hoorah, as many NFL fans presume it to be. Most of this roster is young and a loss like the loss to the Patriots will only fuel the team to make strides in 2019.

There is no refuting that the Los Angeles Chargers need to make additions, however. Los Angeles must improve using the 2019 NFL Draft and perhaps some free agents as well. Here are three early free agents that the Chargers could look to bring in.
