1. Justin Turner plays in 155 games

Using games played as a bold prediction might seem a little bit silly as it falls out of the “bold” domain that you often see when reading these pieces. And while it might be a little different than others, it still is a bold prediction when you consider Turner and the kind of system the Los Angeles Dodgers run.

As previously stated, Turner is always battling different health setbacks that keep him off the field. He really only has one full healthy season, which came in 2016 when he played in 151 games. Aside from that, Turner’s next best mark is 130 and he has only one more year with more than 120 games played.

This is more optimism than anything but Turner is not showing any serious signs of having any reason to be concerned with his health. While something fluke could always happen, he does not have a nagging injury or any particular issue to worry about.

The other thing to keep in mind is that the Los Angeles Dodgers run of a ton of platoons in different situations and usually field lineups on a day-to-day basis. You would think that Turner would get more than enough time off.

That won’t be the case. Turner will prove to be so instrumental to the team that the Dodgers cannot give him as many off days as other players might be getting. And while he will get off days, he will also always be the first pinch-hit option off the bench.
