The 2010s

Los Angeles 2-1

The new decade brought more championships to both cities and some new horizons in games between both cities. The Lakers, Kings and Galaxy combined to win six titles from 2010-14. Meanwhile, in Boston, the titles continued coming as the Patriots, Red Sox and Boston Bruins combined to win five titles during the decade.

The Lakers defeated the Celtics in a game seven for the first time in the 2010 NBA Finals. The Galaxy won their fifth MLS Cup again defeating the New England Revolution in 2014.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers were denied their first World Series win in 30 years by the Red Sox in 2018.

With that win momentum went back to Boston in the rivalry between the two cities, leaving Super Bowl 53 to decide which city reigns supreme.
