One of the best things about the Super Bowl (aside from the Los Angeles Rams being in it) is the countless amount of props.

Super Bowl Sunday is nearly upon us and it is a bittersweet feeling. On one hand, we get to see the Los Angeles Rams win their first Super Bowl while in Los Angeles. On the other hand, it will be the last football game for seven months.

We are undoubtedly excited to see the Rams in action to bring LA another championship. However, what we are also excited about is the massive amount of props that will be on the line on Sunday.

From things like the coin toss, to how long the National Anthem takes to what color Gatorade will be poured on the game-winning head coach, you can bet on pretty much anything in the Super Bowl.

Well, not everything.

We took a look at Odds Shark’s Super Bowl props page and created some of our own props that we did not see listed there.

1. How many times is the missed pass interference mentioned on the broadcast (2.5)?

  • Under (+130), Over (-110)

Somehow I did not see any mention of the missed pass interference call from the NFC Championship on the list. Is there a prop somewhere about this call being mentioned? Probably.

But in our make-believe casino odds, we are putting the over/under at 2.5.

It will be mentioned at least once, there is no doubt about that. There is also probably going to be a pass interference, or missed pass interference, at least once in the game that warrants another mention from Jim Nance and Tony Romo.

That third mention is a bit tricky to find. It could come if Nickell Robey-Coleman makes a big play or if the Patriots are in a similar position that the Saints were when the call happened.

2. How many fake field goals/punts will be converted (0.5)?

  • Over (+300), Under (-230)

This prop has somewhat big odds on both sides of the answer, meaning you can either play it safe and load your money on a fake punt/field goal not being converted or spend a little less and hope that the Los Angeles Rams repeat the feat from a year ago.

Fourth down’s do not count. The team has to line up in a visible punt or field goal formation.

We were going to make this prop if one will be attempted, however, it seems likely that the Rams might gamble once as that is how they have played all year.

The money is on if the play will be converted. The Patriots certainly have their guard up and if they stop it once, the Rams likely won’t attempt it again.

3. How many times will the broadcast mention Tom Brady and Jerry Goff’s connection through the Montreal Expos (0.5)?

  • Under (+250), Over (-130)

You may or may not have known this but Tom Brady was drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos out of high school and was a fairly high-touted selection by the team. You also may or may not know this but Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff‘s father is a former catcher for the Montreal Expos.

Jerry Goff played six MLB seasons from 1990-1996, only appearing in 90 total games. Goff’s last season, which was for the Houston Astros, was the year that Tom Brady got drafted by the Expos.

There is a very slight chance that the broadcast does not mention this relationship, which is why the over is favored. The NFL loves to hammer narratives into the ground and this is a narrative that they probably cannot pass on.

Next. Three reasons why the Rams will win Super Bowl LIII. dark

I can already see it now, a graphic with Tom Brady playing baseball alongside Jerry Goff in the MLB.
