The Los Angeles Lakers rumors around Anthony Davis are growing daily, which could signal the Lakers being short on point guards after a trade.

You already know the story by now: Anthony Davis wants to be traded from the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers are the most likely destination for the Brow. If you even remotely follow the NBA you have heard that story ten times by now.

The obvious discussion for Laker fans is how much of the youth is worth dipping into to acquire Davis. Do the Lakers trade two young stars, such as Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram, or is the team going to have to include Kyle Kuzma? Will it have to include Josh Hart? What about Ivica Zubac, or Mortiz Wagner?

Quite frankly, I think anything is worth trading for Davis and I would take a Ball, Ingram, Kuzma and Wagner package if it meant the Lakers only had to send one draft pick instead of two, or two instead of three.

The Lakers first reported trade offer is not like this, though, and leaves the team with a shortage of point guards.

This certainly won’t be the final package as the Lakers are lowballing the offer a tad. However, I would not shut down the possibility of the Lakers trading both point guards, Lonzo Ball and Rajon Rondo.

Even if it is just Ball the Lakers are going to have to look for a point guard. Rondo is on an expiring contract and does not have the most reliable health. Plus, the next point guard on the roster is 19-year-old Isaac Bonga.

Here are three external point guards that the Los Angeles Lakers could try to trade for of the Lakers rumors of trading a point guard come to fruition.
