Los Angeles Dodgers: Non-roster Spring Training invitees to watch
By Jason Reed
The non-roster Spring Training invitees for the Los Angeles Dodgers have been announced and there are some notable names to keep an eye on.
It is almost that time of year again. The sun is starting to set a little later, the smell of fresh cut grass is starting to reappear and Spring Training is almost back and so will be Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ok, we might be a little overdramatic here. While baseball is definitely coming back, Southern California was recently drenched in rain and the midwest and northern parts of the United States are undergoing a polar vortex. Spring Training might be around the corner but it certainly does not feel like spring.
It doesn’t matter though because baseball is back and it is time to get excited! For fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the sour taste of a second consecutive World Series defeat is definitely still lingering.
And while February and March baseball might not be anything like October baseball, it is nice to see our favorite players back in action.
My personal favorite part of Spring Training is getting to see the minor leaguers get their chance, especially the ones that are non-roster invitees. The Los Angeles Dodgers recently released the list of invitees, which includes some notable names.
Of course, we have to tell you who you should be watching out for out of these invitees. We saw a lot of games down in Single-A Rancho Cucamonga last season, so we are pretty familiar with some of these names.
One rule: we are not going to include non-roster invitees that were invitees last season, so a few of these are already off the list.
Let’s get into this.
