Cody Bellinger is one of the most important players on the Los Angeles Dodgers not only in 2019 but for many, many years.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been blessed with some great rookies in the last three seasons. Corey Seager set the bar in 2016, Cody Bellinger followed it up in 2017 and Walker Buehler capped off the trio in 2018.

Out of the three, Bellinger easily had the most impressive rookie season. Bellinger came onto the scene and became the National League’s must-watch player. Bellinger slugged nine home runs in May and 13 in June was at 24 home runs through 62 games played. That is a 62 home run pace.

Bellinger finished the season with 39 home runs, 97 RBIs and a .267 batting average. He was pretty poor in the postseason and continued that trend into his sophomore year. However, Bellinger was able to avoid a sophomore slump and still slugged 25 home runs and 76 RBIs.

Bellinger has not even begun to scratch the surface of his potential at just 23 years old. Even he knows that; he was pretty bold and said that he doesn’t think he should platoon because even when he is bad he is “still really good” (h/t Sporting News).

We agree with you, Bellinger. Bellinger deserves to be in the everyday lineup and he is in for some pretty big things in 2019. Here are our three bold predictions for Cody Bellinger this season.
