1. A happier LeBron James

Like it or hate it, LeBron James’ mood and attitude is probably the most important thing to the Los Angeles Lakers’ performance this season. James can single-handedly lift this team to pretty high heights if he has the drive and motivation to do so.

James can also not give 100 percent if feels like this is going nowhere. There have been times recently when James’ body language has told a negative story and that is likely because of the Lakers performance as well as the bad coaching job that Luke Walton has done.

While bringing Melo in won’t solve all of these problems, it will make LeBron more comfortable as we will have one of his closest basketball friends, that he has never played alongside, in the locker next to him.

NBA players are human and they are going to have their gripes and frustrations in the workplace. Expecting it to be a perfect situation in which there is no stress or disagreement is silly.

Having Melo there to at least give LeBron an outlet to let steam off will help him stay motivated and will make him happier with the Lakers front office, who did not land Anthony Davis and won’t be parting ways with Luke Walton yet.

It might seem trivial and it probably is, but it is definitely a positive impact of bringing in Carmelo Anthony.
