Los Angeles Dodgers: Offseason takes that are completely wrong
By Jason Reed
The MLB offseason is always littered with bad takes and it is no different for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have plenty of bad takes about them.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have arguably the best fanbase and baseball and with that massive fanbase comes a lot of opinions. While you could argue that teams like the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals have the Dodgers beat, the Dodgers fanbase travels in herds and the attendance numbers support that claim.
Of course, it helps to have the benefit of the largest MLB stadium (in terms of capacity). If Wrigley Field could sit 56,000 then they would probably be up there, as well.
Regardless, there are so many Dodger fans and many voice their opinions and often get into debates about the team. There are varying levels of being a fan, ranging from the “blame the front office” for everything fan and the “pretend everything the team does it great” fan.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that and I myself usually lean more on the pessimistic side of things solely because I am used to heartbreak in all of my professional sports teams. My fandom probably annoys some, but that is okay; everyone can be a fan of their team however they want.
However, there are some pretty bad takes that come as a result of this. Now, this is not us refuting some take posted by an egg twitter account, not at all. These are popular takes that a good selection of fans believe heading into the 2019 season.
Here are the three bad takes that we have seen this offseason, refuted.
