Why the Los Angeles Chargers would do it:

The Los Angeles Chargers have not been named as one of the initial teams interested in Antonio Brown this offseason but that does not mean that he would not fit on this team. The Chargers also never really make these massive kinds of moves.

However, if the Chargers really want to go all in on giving Philip Rivers a Super Bowl run in the next year or two, the best option would be trading for Antonio Brown.

You could make a case against doing this since the Chargers won’t be able to help the defense with a first-round pick, which is a bigger need than wide receiver. I totally get that.

However, Brown is going to have a bigger impact right away than any first-round pick is going to have. While the pick might have a bigger long-term impact, trading for Brown would be the Chargers big move to finally get over the hump.

The Chargers would be sending three picks in this deal over the next three drafts, progressively getting farther down the order. Three picks, all within the first three rounds, is still a good price.

Travis Benjamin is thrown in there to give the Steelers depth without being a long-term cap hit as he is a free agent after this year.

The Los Angeles Chargers would then have a receiving corps of Antonio Brown, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. That is far and away the best receiving corps we have seen in quite some time.
