Why the Los Angeles Rams would do it:

This is the traditional trade that we see every year in the first round of the NFL Draft. Some team is high on a player that falls farther than the team expected. So what does the team do? Scrambles to get a deal in place to move up in the draft order.

Sometimes that means overpaying to move up those spots, as the New Orleans Saints did in 2018. However, if the Los Angeles Rams map this trade out, the team can make it happen without sending another first-round pick.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are probably going to get at least one more first-round pick in the draft on top of whatever else is packaged for Antonio Brown. With that in mind, the team would likely be willing to move down 11 spots from their original spot knowing that it will add even more picks in the future.

It gives the Steelers an instant pick with a third-round pick in this year’s draft and also includes next year’s second and sixth-round. Adding two more picks in the top three rounds to move down 11 spots is not a bad price whatsoever.

After the Antonio Brown trade, the Steelers are going to be absolutely loaded in draft picks.

The Los Angeles Rams should only do this if the front office is truly high on a player and he slips to the 20th overall pick. Moving up for the sake of moving up is not worth it. However, I would not be surprised to see the Rams be the contending team that moves up.
