This is a trade that is heavy in draft picks and is the kind of trade that most fans freak out about when they see. Draft picks are very valuable in the NFL and the first reaction to trading said picks is often negative. We all do it.

However, Beckham is a sensational talent that still has not hit his prime. He has put together great numbers despite playing alongside a regressing Eli Manning. Just imagine what Beckham can do with a young quarterback like Jared Goff that can sling the football in Sean McVay’s system.

That is what makes this trade worth it for the Los Angeles Rams. Sure, the team would be giving up a first-round pick but that first-round pick is two picks away from being a second-round pick. It is not like the Rams are trading a top-10 pick.

A second-round pick in next years draft gives the Giants more to build on with another pick this year, being in the fourth round. Throw in Robert Woods to help give the Rams depth and free up a spot for Beckham in LA and both teams are getting value in this trade.

Beckham is obviously a huge upgrade from Woods and the Rams have not been afraid to trade picks away.
