Nothing positive has come out of Spring Training for Clayton Kershaw which has many fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers worried heading into 2019.

The big story heading into the 2019 offseason for the Los Angeles Dodgers was Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw had an opt-out clause in his contract with two years remaining and his hometown Texas Rangers staring him right in the face.

Kershaw did indeed opt out of his contract but it was to rework a deal with the Dodgers; a three-year, $93 million contract that will keep Kershaw in Dodger blue through the 2021 season.

Now the narrative around Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers is his health. Just months after the Dodgers agreed to pay him $31 million per year Kershaw has experienced a setback in Spring Training.
