The Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the deepest rosters in baseball and with that deep roster are going to come shocking performances from players.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have the longest active postseason streak, and third-longest all-time, not because the team always goes after the big fish in free agency. Instead, the team has built a scarily deep roster with some smart pickups (and a little bit of luck) alongside a stellar farm system.

The Dodgers have established guys and young guys and still boast some exciting prospects to look forward to in the farm system. Unless some drastic happens, there are no signs that the Dodgers are going to slow down for at least the next five years.

They may not make the postseason in every single one of those years but there will not be a single year in that five-year span in which the team isn’t a contender.

With this deep roster comes a breakout player nearly every season, but we have already covered that. Paulo Orlando fits all the billing of being a breakout player, even though he is not doing too great in Spring Training.

Instead of focusing on breakout players, we are going to dive into the players that are going to shock the MLB world in 2019. This might be because of previous expectations or trends from years past.

Either way, these established guys are not going to have the year that people expect them to have in 2019.
