1. Gregg Popovich

Despite being on the opposite side of three different NBA Finals, one in Cleveland and two in Miami, LeBron James and San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich have developed an openly great relationship.

Popovich is one of the greatest basketball minds that the NBA has ever seen, which obviously has garnered LeBron’s respect and admiration. Popovich is one of the few coaches that LeBron would have absolutely no issues with and likely would not challenge at all.

If there is one head coach that would make the most out of this situation it is Popovich. It sounds absurd but this exact same roster would become a title-contending team is Popovich led the way.

It seems far-fetched because of Popovich’s long-tenured past with the Spurs and how the Lakers are the bitter rivals of the Western Conference. However, it should be noted that Popovich’s contract is ending after this season and the coach himself said he was unsure if he would be the coach of the Spurs next season.

Perhaps Popovich, who is currently 70, wants one last run at a chance to contend with the best player on the planet that he has been opposite of.
