The Los Angeles Rams’ needs entering the offseason were clear but have since changed for the 2019 NFL Draft with the latest free agent signings.

The Los Angeles Rams‘ needs and likely prospects to consider drafting with the 31st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft were very clear heading into the offseason. An otherwise stacked roster had some noticeable holes that were not up to par with the rest of the depth chart.

However, those holes have since changed as the Los Angeles Rams have made four free agent signings thus far this offseason.

It started with Eric Weddle, who was released by the Baltimore Ravens and almost instantly signed by the Rams. Weddle’s two-year deal replaces Lamarcus Joyner, who signed with the Oakland Raiders.

Next was re-signing Dante Fowler Jr to a one-year contract. While it might not have long-term implications, it helped the Rams maintain depth at outside linebacker for relatively cheap.

The third signing was not as big and did not take away a first-round pick option as the team signed Blake Bortles to a one-year deal to sit behind Jared Goff. This is a deal that will benefit both sides.

Finally, the latest move that the Rams have made is signing veteran linebacker Clay Matthews to a two-year deal. Matthews is a traditional outside linebacker and can line up there to get to the quarterback but can also drop into coverage and play like an inside backer.

Has the Rams’ offseason been perfect? No, the team has still lost some valuable assets. However, the front office has done a good job of making the 2019 NFL Draft more manageable and has narrowed down the potential choices with the 31st overall pick.

Here are our three most-likely choices.
