1. G Chris Lindstrom

People are split on who the better guard is in the draft this season, Cody Ford or Chris Lindstrom. Both are projected to be early second-round picks so it really comes down to preference and in the Rams case, Lindstrom is the safer pick.

Upgrading the offensive line is probably going to be the Rams number one priority in the NFL Draft, so we really could fill this entire slideshow with offensive linemen. However, that is no fun and we will mix it up.

The offensive line is getting older and just took a huge hit in losing Rodger Saffold. If the team does not start addressing it now, the Rams run a serious risk of having one of the worst offensive lines in the league in another season or two.

Lindstrom would be a nice piece to select late in the first round and plug in the interior parts of the line. Lindstrom is a natural guard but could play center if tasked to and is more naturally athletic and sound than Ford.

The Rams know what they would be getting out of Lindstrom and at the very least he has the skills to be a long-time starter. He might not ever be a Pro Bowler but he will be good enough and consitent enough to anchor down the inside of the line.

That is not to say that he does not have Pro Bowl potential. However, his value lines in the fact that the Rams know exactly what they will be getting.
