Baseball season is officially back and there is no better way to get ready for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ season than predicting who will be the team’s leaders.

It is Thursday, which means it is officially Opening Day (unless, of course, you read this after Thursday, which is very plausible). This means that the Los Angeles Dodgers are back in action after months of the fans having to reflect on another World Series loss.

The Dodgers look different than the team did a year ago. Yasiel Puig, Matt Kemp, Alex Wood and Yasmani Grandal are all out; A.J. Pollock, Russell Martin and rookie Alex Verdugo are all in.

The Dodgers are still the deepest team in the National League and are primed to make another Pennant run and hopefully prove true the adage “third times the charm”.

There are going to need to be some impressive performances to fuel the Dodgers back to the Fall Classic. Here are our predictions for the offensive season leaders.

Batting average: Justin Turner (.325)

The return of Corey Seager makes this a harder selection but quite frankly, the batting average debate was always going to be between Seager and Turner.

The two are the one surefire locks to hit over .300 this season and there is even a possibility that one of them finishes in the high .290s. However, we think that both Seager and Turner will hit over .300.

Justin Turner will get the edge with a truly remarkable season, hitting .325 in the process. If you have followed our work this offseason we see a career-year coming out of Justin Turner and if he can stay healthy, there is not a doubt in my mind that he can get a base hit in nearly one-third of his at-bats.
