Nose tackle Ndamukong Suh is a free agent this offseason and appears to be out of the Los Angeles Rams’ price range, but a prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft won’t be.

The Los Angeles Rams made plenty of splashes last year during the offseason and perhaps the biggest one was signing former All-Pro nose tackle, Ndamukong Suh, to a one-year contract.

This was such a massive move considering that the Rams already had one of the best defensive lines in football, headlined by two-time Defensive Player of the Year, Aaron Donald. The idea of putting both Suh and Donald in the same defensive line was terrifying to opposing offensive lines.

The one drawback of the move, however, is that it did not give the Rams long-term commitment. Since it was just a one-year deal and came before Aaron Donald’s extension kicked in, everyone knew that Suh would likely be a one-year experiment for the team.

Although Suh is yet to sign with a team at the time of writing this, it is very unlikely that the Rams give him the kind of money he is asking for and the front office should already be looking at alternatives.

Free agent and trade options are likely completely off the table as well due to the salary cap. If the team had enough money to spend on a nose tackle then this issue with Suh would not even exist.

That points directly at the 2019 NFL Draft. And while the Rams could target other needs in the first round, there is a fairly good chance that the team drafts a nose tackle as well. Here are three nose tackles worth targetting.
